The emergence of Covid-19 has given rise to a global crisis. Millions of families across India are experiencing massive losses in income, employment, and savings. In response, the government has offered significant support to below-poverty line (BPL) families to help navigate this crisis. In April, Dalberg, in partnership with Omidyar Network and Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, launched a rapid, multi-round study across 15 states to capture the cumulative efficacy of various government entitlements. As a part of this study we interviewed with ~47,000 low-income households between April and early June.
In our quest to make this data more accessible for everyone, we have developed this dashboard. It allows users to explore our survey results across several parameters
A few guidelines to help you explore the dashboard better:
- You can choose a combination of themes, schemes and population segments, and view the results for a specific state or across all 15 states covered in the study.
- The timeline at the bottom allows you to see results across different survey periods. Dates on the timeline represent the period of data collection
- We have kept the data collected in April and May separate from each other. However, for each month we have shown cumulative data till a given week. This lets us use an enriched sample in subsequent weeks while also representing weekly shifts.
- Timeline dots with the star show complete data collected in respective months
